The Awakening Pendant
The awakening pendant design incorporates the Sacred Fig leaf which is known as The Buddhi Tree. Inside the leaf pattern appears the symbol of a deer-one of the first symbols of Busshism. The Symbol of the deer refers to the Deer Park in Sarnath, near Vārānasī (Benares) in northern India –the place where Buddha delivered his first sermonand set in motion the Wheel Of Dharma.

The Dharma Pendant
The symbol inside the leaf of the pendant is the ‘Dharma wheel’, also known as ‘The Noble Eightfold Path’. The ancient path Siddhartha found as the way leading to the cessation of suffering (dukkha) and the achievement of self awakening.

This is my first piece of jewelry ever. I created it years ago. What really took me by surprise was the fact that all the images and visions I’ve had prior to this piece and after were Buddhist symbols. The

Deer park in sarnath was the first place that Buddha taught the Dharma.

Five or six years earlier I met a woman who claimed she can clean Karmic patterns. Though I was skeptic I’ve decided to give it a try out of curiosity. She gave me a paper with different questions. One of the questions was “Do you want to fulfill your destiny this lifetime?” It looked ridiculous but I wrote “yes”. During the “session” I’ve had a strange vision of “three jewels” only to find years later that these are the Three Jewels of Buddhism - The Buddha, The Dharma and the Sangha.

Anyway, due to a dream I had about a month ago the next newsletter and symbols will be dedicated to the Dharma, or as Bob wrote: “There must be some kind of way out of here,” Said the joker to the thief.

lotus that was sacred to the ancient Egyptians.

Today I started to work on a new Dharma pendant.
The design incorporate’s the Sacred Fig leaf which is known as The Bodhi Tree Prince Siddhartha sat under it for 49 days and attained full awakening and liberation and became the Buddha.
The tree actually grows outside my workshop from the outside wall .
My neighbour tries to destroy it hence shows a great example of human ignorance
which is the cause of all suffering-and the tree only becomes bigger and stronger…
